Keys recovers from a set down to beat Snigur in Cincinnati
Madison Keys dropped the opening set but turned the match around to beat Daria Snigur 4-6, 6-3, 6-3 in the Cincinnati round of 64. The American's power eventually told: she struck 14 aces to Snigur's none and won 72.7% of her first-serve points, even though she landed only 59.8% of them and coughed up six double faults. Snigur was the steadier server in terms of placement, finding 71.6% of first serves, but she won just 60.3% of those points and had six double faults of her own. Keys moved into the next round on the back of that first-strike edge.
