Cerundolo edges Rinderknech in two tiebreaks in Cincinnati
Juan Manuel Cerundolo came from a set down to beat Arthur Rinderknech 4-6, 7-6, 7-6 in the Cincinnati Round of 64, closing out both of the last two sets in tiebreaks. The Argentine's first delivery was erratic but devastating when it landed: only 46.7% of his first serves found the box, yet he won 83.9% of those points and struck 14 aces against six double faults. Rinderknech was the steadier server, landing 58.8% of first serves and winning 59.6% behind his second, but 73.1% on first serves was not enough in the breakers. Cerundolo advanced at one of the biggest hard-court events of the season.
