Vallejo beats Vacherot 6-3 6-3 in Cincinnati Round of 64
Adolfo Daniel Vallejo produced a clean straight-sets win over Valentin Vacherot, 6-3 6-3, in the Cincinnati Round of 64. The Paraguayan built the result on an outstanding first delivery, landing 60.8% of them and winning 93.5% of those points, and he stayed solid behind the second ball too, taking half of those points despite four double faults. Vacherot's 14 aces were the loudest sound of the afternoon, but 80.0% behind the first serve and only 33.3% on the second, plus five double faults, left him exposed. It was a statement performance for Vallejo on the hard courts of a Masters 1000 stage.
