Cobolli edges Kecmanovic in three sets in Cincinnati

Flavio Cobolli came through a three-set battle against Miomir Kecmanovic, 6-1 4-6 6-3, in the Cincinnati round of 64. The Italian's serve was the difference whenever it landed: he struck 13 aces and won 87.2% of his first-serve points, a figure Kecmanovic could not approach with 55.2%. The problem was consistency, as Cobolli put only 48.8% of first serves in and coughed up eight double faults, winning just 46.3% behind the second ball, which helped the Serb level the match.
