Oleksandra Oliynykova needed only two sets to move past Elvina Kalieva 6-4 6-1 in the opening round of the WTA 1000 event in Cincinnati, tightening her grip after an even first set. The serve numbers told the story: the Ukrainian won 64.1 percent of her first-serve points and 46.7 percent behind her second, while Kalieva managed just 45.8 and 42.9 percent.
