Vallejo overpowers Jacquet in straight sets in Cincinnati

Adolfo Daniel Vallejo needed only two sets to see off Kyrian Jacquet 6-2 6-4 in the Round of 128 in Cincinnati, controlling the match from the baseline and, above all, behind his delivery. The Paraguayan landed just 59.1% of his first serves but was close to untouchable when he did, winning 92.3% of those points, and he still took 72.2% behind the second ball while striking seven aces against three double faults. Jacquet, by contrast, made only 54.1% of first serves and won just half of his second-serve points. It was a clean, authoritative start to the tournament for Vallejo.
