Xiyu Wang controlled the Cincinnati qualifying final from start to finish, seeing off Polina Kudermetova 6-3, 6-2 in a straight-sets win that never looked in doubt. The serve told the story: Wang landed 65.5 percent of her first deliveries and won 80.6 percent of those points, while Kudermetova put only half her first serves in play and took just 59.1 percent behind them.
