Landaluce stuns Draper 6-3 7-5 in Cincinnati first round
Martin Landaluce produced the upset of the opening day in Cincinnati, beating Jack Draper 6-3 7-5 in the Round of 128 without dropping a set. The Spaniard landed only 49.3 percent of his first serves, but he made them count, winning 73.5 percent of those points and a healthy 48.6 percent behind his second delivery. Draper's serve, by contrast, unravelled: 12 double faults and just 32.6 percent of second-serve points won left him vulnerable throughout, and his six aces could not offset the damage. Landaluce's reward is a place in the second round at his level's biggest hard-court stage.
