Droguet beats Sakellaridis in straight sets to reach Cincinnati main draw
Titouan Droguet came through the Cincinnati qualifying final in straight sets, beating Stefanos Sakellaridis 6-4 6-2 to book his place in the main draw. The Frenchman's serve was the difference: he landed only 55.1% of first deliveries but won 81.5% of those points, and crucially took 68.2% behind his second serve. Sakellaridis matched him with seven aces and a single double fault, yet won just 42.9% of his second-serve points, a gap that told as the match wore on. Droguet's grip tightened in the second set, where the Greek's shorter second ball offered little protection.
