Stefanini beats Jeanjean in straight sets to reach Cincinnati main draw
Lucrezia Stefanini came through the Cincinnati qualifying final in straight sets, taking control early for a 6-2 first set before closing out a tighter second 6-4. The serve numbers explained the gap: the Italian landed 67.9% of her first deliveries and won 52.6% of those points, while Leolia Jeanjean managed only 57.4% first serves in and 45.7% of the points behind them. Jeanjean's second serve was the real weakness, yielding just 38.5% of points against Stefanini's 55.6%, with four double faults to three. The win earned Stefanini a place in the main draw.
